Oxford, England, 1142. Empress Matilda, self-proclaimed ‘Lady of the English’ is on the run as the army of her usurper cousin, King Stephen closes in on her. Now under siege at Oxford Castle, the Empress is surprised to be visited by a girl claiming to be from the future. A future, to Matilda’s complete disbelief, that doesn’t remember her reign over England at all.
